Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a QA/QC Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with one of our trusted clients in Dallas, TX. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and improving quality standards within the fabrication shop and across supplier and vendor operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and support the QA/QC management system
Conduct inspections at the Dallas Fab Shop and vendor/subcontractor sites
Oversee nondestructive testing (NDT)
Collaborate with the fab shop team to address quality issues
Manage quality documentation and project handovers
Prepare for and assist with audits
Use advanced tools (such as 3D scanners) to uphold industry-leading quality standards
Handle nonconformance reports and implement corrective actions
Maintain compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, AWS, and ASME
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred
QA/QC certifications (CQE, CWI, ASQ) a plus
3+ years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing QA/QC
Strong knowledge of NDT methods and quality systems
Proficiency with inspection tools and technical documentation
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Travel: Up to 30%, primarily local
