Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA/QC Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across our engineering projects, implementing robust quality assurance processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and company objectives
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
Analyze quality data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality assurance documentation, including reports, metrics, and performance indicators
Lead and participate in quality-related meetings and reviews with internal stakeholders and external partners
Train and mentor staff on quality control processes, best practices, and the use of quality assurance tools
Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quality assurance and control
Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality management systems and processes
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations in all quality-related activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field)
Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within Rail projects
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards, particularly ISO 9001
Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) preferred
Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) techniques and quality assurance software tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Experience in conducting quality audits and inspections in engineering or manufacturing projects
Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and quality management software
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Fluency in English.
