Overview:
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC (Quality Assurance & Quality Control) Engineer to lead and oversee the quality aspects of our marine construction projects. The role involves ensuring that all project work complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. The candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC systems tailored to the marine construction environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC procedures and systems.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor construction quality.
Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Liaise with project managers and engineering teams to meet quality benchmarks.
Provide training to project teams on QA/QC protocols.
Create and maintain quality documentation including ITPs (Inspection Test Plans).
Oversee material inspections, test results, and third-party verification processes.
Prepare regular reports on quality performance metrics.
Coordinate with regulatory and classification bodies as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
10+ yrs of experince in QA/QC roles in marine construction (e.g., ports, dredging, offshore platforms).
Certifications such as CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), CQMgr (Certified Quality Manager), or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., ISO, API, ASME, ASTM).
Proficient in quality documentation and digital QA/QC tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English (verbal and written).
