Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process/Final Assembly Inspector to join our team. As an integral part of our quality control department, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and product quality are met during all phases of assembly and manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with previous mechanical and/or electrical inspection experience to work in a fast-paced, AS9100 certified environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inspection results and potential improvements.
Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings to ensure adherence to design specifications.
Perform inspections throughout all phases of assembly and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Utilize basic measuring equipment and instruments (such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to assess product dimensions and quality.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of inspection results, documenting findings and reporting any discrepancies.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of workmanship acceptance criteria and ensure all products meet these standards.
Work in compliance with IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards for electronics assembly.
Collaborate with the assembly team to identify and resolve any quality-related issues.
Pass visual acuity and color perception exams to meet the requirements for inspecting detailed components and assemblies.

Education and/or Experience

IPC 610/620 certification is mandatory.
Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical inspection is required.
Strong understanding of AS9100 quality standards and procedures.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Proficiency with basic measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Ability to maintain detailed inspection records and provide clear documentation of findings.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect defects or inconsistencies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Must pass a visual acuity and color perception exam.
Familiarity with additional quality standards or certifications is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Prior experience working in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
