Summary

As a QA/QC Weld Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and verifying activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, client specifications, and company quality requirements. Must have previous QA/QC experience and hands on expereince with NDT methods of visual inspection and magnetic particle inspection are preferred. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and/or Project Manager, you will support quality control processes across inspection, fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of inspection standards, and the ability to work independently in industrial field environments and manufacturing facilities while maintaining safety and quality objectives.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform weld inspections to verify work complies with approved procedures, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards which may involve the utilization of gauges and NDT equipment and consumables
  • Monitor construction, fabrication, maintenance, and repair activities for quality compliance
  • Review and verify inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and work packages
  • Witness and document inspections, tests, and hold points as required
  • Identify nonconforming work and initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs) when necessary
  • Verify material traceability, certifications, and documentation
  • Coordinate with operations, inspection personnel, and client representatives to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports, daily logs, and quality records
  • Promote adherence to company quality programs and safety policies
  • Provide required notification to appropriate management personnel regarding quality issues or incidents

JOB DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates local within the assigned region strongly preferred
  • Canidate must have previous hands-on experience with magnetic particle testing
  • A valid and active CWI certification, verifiable and strongly preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License, required
  • Background screening, required
  • Employment subject to drug & alcohol screening, required
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required
  • Ability to work in active industrial environments

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in quality control, inspection, or industrial field operations preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, or client-specific requirements)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection criteria
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement devices
  • Understanding of quality management systems and field inspection processes

Working Conditions:

Field duties require outdoor and indoor work in industrial, plant, fabrication shop or construction environments, interaction with operations personnel, supervisors, and client representatives. Work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions, noise, heights, confined spaces, and other industrial hazards. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for personal protection and tolerate climate changes.

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Magnetic Particle Testing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CWI (Preferred)
  • NDT hour log and/or classroom cert (Preferred)
