Quality Assurance Manager (Raw Materials and Vendors)

What We Need:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality control and compliance of raw materials and vendor-supplied products. This role is critical in ensuring that all raw materials meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and are aligned with production specifications. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with vendors, lead material inspection and auditing processes, and continuously improve the supply chain’s quality performance.
What You Will Do:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures for incoming raw materials and third-party vendors.
Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers to ensure materials meet quality and compliance standards.
Manage the raw material testing process, including sampling, laboratory coordination, and analysis of results.
Conduct supplier audits and site visits and lead corrective action plans when non-conformance issues arise.
Collaborate with procurement, R&D, and operations teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure smooth production.
Maintain accurate records of material certifications, test results, and supplier performance.
Lead investigations into material-related complaints and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay current with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP, FDA, etc.).
Train internal teams on material quality standards and vendor compliance practices.
What You Need:
Bachelor’s degree – Quality Assurance related degrees, Supply Chain, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably with raw materials and vendor oversight.
Strong understanding of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and supplier quality management.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Must be highly detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage complex projects and ensure accuracy across all deliverables.
Experience with internal and external audits, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with quality management systems (QMS) a plus.
Certifications such as ASQ CQE, Six Sigma, or ISO Lead Auditor.
Prior experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, or consumer goods is highly preferredShow more
