Job Description:
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contract specifications. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of various works, including the installation of irrigation systems, soft and hard landscaping, to ensure compliance with contract specifications and quality standards.
Take daily project photographs and maintain proper filing of documentation.
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, and attending training programs.
Contribute to the completion of quality department goals and organizational objectives.
Collaborate with production engineers and other departments to address corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), analyze root causes, and implement timely solutions.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the Quality Manager and Quality in Charge.
Conduct both internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Maintain and update QA/QC inspection records and documents.
Perform daily inspections and tests for all works on-site, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
Inspect and verify quality-related procedures on-site and ensure activities align with approved method statements and inspection test plans.
Coordinate with consultants and department representatives for inspections, addressing any quality-related issues and ensuring the closure of non-compliance reports (NCRs).
Manage and report QA/QC documentation, including certificates, calibration records, test results, inspection requests, NCRs, and site observations.
Responsible for closing NCRs and ensuring the proper handling of non-conformance reports and site observations (SORs).
Develop method statements for activities, including risk assessments, job safety/environmental analyses, inspection test plans, and checklists, based on project specifications.
Actively participate in internal and external ISO audits.
Serve as a team player by covering additional responsibilities when colleagues are absent.
Perform other duties as assigned by the department head or in-charge.
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills.
3-5 years of experience in process quality and improvement within a manufacturing or construction environment.
Knowledge of quality standards, with a preference for ISO standards.
Familiarity with internal auditing processes.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering (Associate degree or higher).
