A well established company is currently recruiting for a QA / QC Inspector in Takoradi, Ghana
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control and assurance in a workshop or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of workshop processes, technical drawings, and quality control techniques.
Experience with precision measurement tools, testing equipment, and software.
Solid knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing) and workshop-specific regulations.
Ability to analyze and interpret data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Certification in quality management or related areas (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ certification) is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement tools and testing equipment.
Inspection and testing before, during and after welding
Lead quality audits of workshop processes and products to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality control plans to verify product conformity.
Identify, document, and report any defects, non-conformities, or deviations in products or processes, and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality inspection processes and best practices for workshop operations.
Mentor, train, and oversee junior quality inspectors, ensuring they follow inspection protocols and maintain quality standards.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure the calibration and maintenance of all inspection tools and equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability.
Generate and maintain detailed quality inspection reports, documenting all findings, actions taken, and resolutions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in workshop operations.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
Participate in the development and review of quality control documentation, such as inspection plans, quality standards, and procedures.
Monitor and ensure that all materials, parts, and finished products conform to the required quality specifications.
