Role Description The QA/QC Inspector Civil role is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Arab Emirates. The inspector is responsible for monitoring and inspecting civil works for oil and gas facilities, ensuring that construction activities comply with project specifications, international standards, and company quality procedures. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections for foundations, concrete works, structural elements, and related civil infrastructure; reviewing method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and material approvals; and verifying that workmanship and materials meet required quality levels. The role involves coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives, preparing inspection reports and nonconformance reports (NCRs), and following up on corrective and preventive actions. The QA/QC Inspector Civil also supports welding and related civil interface inspections, participates in audits, and contributes to continuous improvement of quality practices on site.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Control and Inspection skills, including experience in civil works inspection for industrial or oil and gas projects.
- Solid understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Management principles, procedures, and documentation within construction projects.
- Competence in Welding Inspection relevant to civil structures, including familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; relevant QA/QC certifications (e.g., ISO, CSWIP, AWS, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Knowledge of international construction standards and codes (e.g., ACI, BS/EN, ASTM) and experience with EPC project environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and ITPs, and to prepare clear inspection, NCR, and quality reports.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams on remote project sites.
- Previous QA/QC experience in large-scale oil and gas
