Vantage Aviation at the Greenville Jet Center is a 7-day per week operation and is looking for team members who are excited to work in Aviation and can deliver world-class customer service to our clients.

We are looking to fill a Full-Time position (40 hours per week) Monday thru Friday with weekend shift(s), night shift(s), and Holiday shift(s) depending on availability and scheduling needs with the Department.

Vantage GMU is seeking a detail-oriented Fuel Quality Control and Line Technician to be responsible for performing fuel quality control duties and maintaining records, within industry standards, for all fueling facilities, systems, and fueling vehicles. This position directly reports to and coordinates all efforts with the FBO Operations Manager.

Job Duties:

Responsible for reporting of potential liability concerns or safety hazards.
Receive delivered fuels via transport truck.
Sump and test products for quality control, perform inspections and basic maintenance on fuel farms, fuel systems, and fueling vehicles.
Identify and schedule preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel farm/system including related equipment on fueling vehicles.
Perform Line Service duties as scheduled by Line Operations Supervisor.
Marshalling, towing, and parking of aircraft arriving or departing.
Providing fuel, oil, lavatory, water, or other services for aircraft as requested
Keeping accurate daily records of fuel movement and quality control
Assisting with loading and unloading baggage as necessary, valeting cars, providing shuttle service, as well as other concierge type requests
Transfer product and monitor storage tanks and related equipment to ensure they remain in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills, and product contamination.
Conduct routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government, and industry standards.
Conduct all work in a safe manner adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures.
Make required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance.
Performs compliance and government required checks on fuel meters and gauges to ensure they are in good operable conditions in order to prevent spills, releases, overfills, and product contamination.
Perform Line Service duties as scheduled by Line Operations Supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned by FBO Management.
Requirements:

Skills/Qualifications:

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, possessed a high school diploma or GED, and have at least 3 year’s experience as a Line Service Technician
Valid Driver’s License. Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorization.
Must be able to work flexible shifts.
Must be able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform mathematical skills in regard to weight, measurement and volume.
Must have completed or is capable of successfully completing the NATA Professional Line Service Technician course within (90) days of hire and attend a Fuel Quality Control course within (180) days of hire.
Ability to install, perform preventative maintenance, and repair various types of equipment, machinery, and facilities.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Applicant should be proficient in general computer functions and Microsoft Office programs.
To perform the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, see, and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
