Position: QA/QC Inspector – Oil & Gas / Pipeline / Industrial

Position Overview
As a QA/QC Inspector with Taguchi Inspection, you will perform quality control and quality assurance activities on industrial construction, plant maintenance, and pipeline projects. You will ensure all work is executed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC inspections on civil, structural, mechanical, and piping work
- Review and audit project quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and procedures
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated components and field installations
- Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and track corrective actions to closure
- Witness pressure tests, hydrotests, and functional testing of equipment
- Review material certifications (MTRs), mill certificates, and weld records
- Coordinate with NDT technicians to schedule and review examination results
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation
- Interface with clients, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and site safety requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of QA/QC inspection experience in oil & gas, pipeline, or industrial construction
- Diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Quality Management, or related field preferred
- API 1169 / CWB Welding Inspector, NACE Coating Inspector, or equivalent certification is an asset
- Knowledge of applicable codes: ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, ABSA, TSSA, and API standards
- Familiarity with inspection documentation systems and quality management systems (ISO 9001)
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments on active job sites
- Valid driver’s licence; ability to travel within BC and Alberta
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, project management tools)

Location
British Columbia and Alberta — including Fort St. John, Prince George, Vancouver, Kitimat, Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, and surrounding areas.
