GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The Quality Assurance Technicians are responsible for quality of customer products through the production process. This role is responsible for accurately completing titrations, calibrations including gages, colorimeters, pH meters, as well as temperate and humidity monitoring. This role is also responsible for the final quality inspection of each job. This includes verification of correct color, gloss, mil thickness; proper documentation is completed and maintained on a secure network.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY, AND DUTIES:
Inspection
Assist with the incoming inspection of materials received by Qualicoat, when necessary.
Take and verify pictures of physically damaged parts received by Qualicoat.
Inspect and test products at multiple stages through the production process to ensure products meets quality level standards per customer specifications, including but not limited to color, thickness, texture, and adhesion.
Immediately inform the Quality Manager and Operations Manager of any possible parts that clearly do not conform to customer’s specifications.
Perform FAI, 1st piece, in-process and final inspections to ensure production parts meet print.
Documentation
Accurate and prompt documentation on work performed is required according to customer specifications and Qualicoat procedure for each job in production.
Inform the Quality Assurance Manager and Operations Manager of any and all work deemed non-conforming including but not limited to rework, titrations, calibrations, temperature and humidity readings, panel tests, etc.
Issue and properly tag rework tickets for parts that do not conform to customer’s specifications. Tracking all re-work to ensure that proper corrective action is taken.
Periodically collect and send tank samples for alternative analysis.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Language
Ability to read, comprehend and interpret technical documents written in English such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals, Technical Data Sheets, official industry and customer standards and specifications.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Technical Skills
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to think, reason, and problem solve in a systematic or methodical manner.
To perform this job successfully an individual must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic computer knowledge.
Experience using Epicor MRP system is preferred.

EDUCATIONAL AND POSITION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
One year related experience and/or training;
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
The Q.A. Tech regularly lifts and /or moves up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception, ability to see in color. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
