Position Summary- THIS IS A FULLY ONSITE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities on large-scale mission critical and data center construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining project quality programs, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements while supporting successful project delivery.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong construction background in electrical, mechanical (MEP), or civil disciplines who have transitioned into quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management Plan (QMP).
- Lead QA/QC activities throughout all phases of construction.
- Perform inspections and verify work complies with project specifications, contract documents, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, NCRs, punch lists, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, owners, and commissioning teams to ensure quality requirements are achieved.
- Review submittals, RFIs, turnover documentation, and as-built documentation.
- Conduct quality audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Track quality metrics and provide regular reporting to project leadership.
- Support project commissioning, system turnover, and client acceptance activities.
- Mentor field teams and subcontractors on quality expectations and best practices.
- Promote a strong safety and quality culture across the project.
Requirements
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience within commercial or industrial construction.
- Previous experience supporting data center, mission critical, or other complex construction projects.
- Background in Electrical, Mechanical (MEP), or Civil Construction.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspections, testing procedures, and construction documentation.
- Experience managing punch lists, deficiencies, NCRs, and corrective action processes.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with owners, contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Proficient with construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Build, BIM 360, CxAlloy, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and applicable industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a General Contractor or major Electrical/Mechanical Contractor.
- Previous involvement in commissioning, startup, or systems turnover.
- Relevant quality certifications (CQM, CQM, ASQ, ISO, etc.) are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
