The Quality Assurance Technician is a diligent and detail-oriented individual responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining high-quality production processes. This role involves pulling samples, conducting inspections, testing, and audits to uphold regulatory requirements and company standards.
Responsibilities
· Pull, weigh, divide, sort samples; weigh sorted samples for Light Cut; record findings on spreadsheet.
o Regarding Sort: cracked and broken, discolored, other shell defects, foreign material.
· Pull and sort samples from trash; let Superintendent know if any good product ends up in Light Cut trash.
· Pull, perform count, perform fall through, sort, run moisture test on samples for In-Shell peanuts; weigh product, run calculations, record findings on spreadsheet.
o Regarding Sort: cracked and broken, discolored, loose shelled kernels, other shell defects, foreign material.
· Pull, perform count, perform fall through, sort, run moisture test on samples from Shelled peanuts; weigh product, run calculations, take measurements, record findings on spreadsheet.
o Regarding Sort: sound split or broken kernels, damage and minor defects, foreign material.
· Maintain communication with QA/IT Manager and Plant Superintendents; make sure Plant Superintendents are aware of any hidden damage or failed tests.

Candidate Requirements
· Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment, particularly in quality assurance or food safety roles, preferred.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
· Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
· Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to be on feet for long periods of time.
