Pay: $30.00–$46.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Field-Based | Extensive Travel Required
Build Quality Into the Future of Wind Energy
Zephyr Repower is seeking an experienced QA/QC Representative to support wind energy repowering, service, and major corrective projects throughout North America.
This is a hands-on, field-based quality role for someone who understands that quality is more than completing a checklist. You’ll work alongside project managers, field leadership, technicians, subcontractors, and customers to identify issues, verify work, maintain documentation, and help ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and to the required standards.
If you have strong wind turbine or renewable energy experience, understand field construction and maintenance, and aren’t afraid to speak up when something isn’t right, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As a QA/QC Representative, you’ll help protect the quality and integrity of Zephyr Repower projects from execution through completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting quality assurance and quality control inspections and audits throughout wind energy projects.
- Monitoring field activities for compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, project specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Reviewing and interpreting SWIs, lift plans, QA checklists, civil and electrical drawings, and wind turbine generator schematics.
- Verifying materials and equipment meet applicable project and quality requirements.
- Identifying quality concerns, documentation gaps, missing controls, and field deviations before they become larger project issues.
- Documenting inspection findings and maintaining accurate quality records, inspection logs, and supporting documentation.
- Communicating quality concerns clearly with project managers, field leadership, subcontractors, crews, and customer representatives.
- Recommending and supporting corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.
- Helping resolve quality-related issues while keeping project execution moving forward.
- Supporting continuous improvement efforts across projects and field operations.
- Promoting a culture of accountability, safety, transparency, teamwork, and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can operate independently in the field while building strong working relationships with the teams executing the work.
Qualified candidates should bring:
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy maintenance, QA/QC, field engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of wind turbine systems and/or civil construction methods.
- Experience performing or documenting critical field inspections.
- Experience verifying material and equipment compliance.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, work instructions, inspection requirements, and project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize potential quality issues or documentation gaps.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to professionally address quality concerns with technicians, foremen, subcontractors, project leadership, and customer representatives.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel and SharePoint.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

- Civil QA/QC
- Cable routing
- SWPPP
- Field engineering
- Construction quality
- Lean construction or process improvement
- OSHA or similar safety certifications
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field is preferred but not required.
