We are seeking experienced QA/QC Specialists to provide quality assurance, inspection and surveillance across major oil and gas projects. The successful candidates will ensure that fabrication, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities comply with approved procedures, project specifications and quality standards.
Opportunities include QA/QC Representative assignments across structures, umbilical, control-system and termination yards, offshore installation vessels, pipelines and onshore construction sites, as well as Completion Quality Engineer assignments covering fabrication, construction, commissioning and handover.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain project quality controls in accordance with the approved Quality Management System.
- Review quality plans, inspection and test plans, procedures, vendor documents, certificates and manufacturing records.
- Conduct or witness inspections, tests and surveillance activities at supplier facilities, fabrication yards, onshore sites and offshore vessels.
- Monitor fabrication, construction, installation, testing and commissioning against approved procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Identify and document non-conformances and support root-cause analysis, corrective action and close-out.
- Monitor supplier and contractor quality performance and verify compliance with project requirements.
- Assess quality risks during completion and commissioning and support appropriate mitigation measures.
- Verify that inspection, completion, quality and handover records are accurate, complete and traceable.
- Provide guidance to project teams on quality requirements and completion-quality processes.
- Report quality performance, recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
- Promote continuous improvement throughout fabrication, construction, commissioning and handover.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Civil, Structural or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum eight years’ QA/QC experience within offshore or onshore oil and gas projects.
- Certain fabrication-yard and Completion Quality Engineer assignments require at least 10 years’ relevant experience.
- Experience relevant to the assigned asset, fabrication yard, vessel, pipeline, construction or completion scope.
- Strong knowledge of project Quality Management Systems aligned with ISO 9001 or an equivalent standard.
- Experience with inspections, surveillance, supplier quality, non-conformance management and quality-record control.
- Knowledge of quality plans, ITPs, manufacturing record books, turnover dossiers and completion documentation.
- Relevant experience in fabrication, welding, NDT, coating, structural, piping, electrical or instrumentation inspection, depending on the assignment.
- Completion Quality Engineer assignments require experience with FPSO, FPU or FLNG projects and brownfield environments, including fabrication, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Relevant NDT, welding, coating or quality-auditor certification is preferred where applicable.
- BOSIET, a valid offshore medical and other applicable offshore certificates are mandatory for vessel assignments.
- English is essential. Greek is an advantage.
