Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Mobile, Alabama that is specialized in tailor-made lifting equipment systems such as gantry cranes, gate hoist, overhead cranes, winch, in hydropower, aluminum, nuclear, aerospace, steel sectors.

The Quality & EHS Coordinator is required to coordinate the Quality Assurance, Quality Control and EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) aspects of the maintenance contract while adhering to, and in-line with, the intent of our statement of work to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:
Coordinates the quality assurance and quality control of the jigs and tools maintenance contract.
Ensures that the performance carried out and the resources made available by company meet our client’s requirements.
Assures, in liaison with the documentation service based at the headquarters, the regulatory and normative monitoring, inspection, traceability and communicates relevant information to the team members.
Coordinates the preparation and submittal of corrective maintenance activities Intervention Reports and Root Cause Analysis to our Clients.
Ensures the verification of measuring tools, checks and validates the calibration PV and/or audit findings,
Organizes, with the Maintenance & Risk Manager, the sending of measuring tools for control and calibration.
Prepares, review, updates, the Quality Assurance Plan in relation with our client’s requirements as well as with company’s corporate quality management system.
Conducts audits per company’s quality management system.
Monitors the implementation and follow up of improvement actions and non-conformities, along with predictive, preventive and corrective actions.
Performs quality site visits and audits to guarantee the proper execution of the contractual activities on our clients’ site.
Participates in the review and approval process of the maintenance reports.
Prepares and presents the quality monthly report to the Client along with the Maintenance & Risk Manager.
Performs on site safety visits and audits to guarantee the application of the safety rules and proper usage of the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Educates the staff to company. safety requirements and risk prevention.
Checks internal lifting & handling equipment, slings as well as equipment for individual and collective protection (harnesses, ladders, etc.)
In charge of reporting near misses, accidents and to analyze their root causes (Tap Root Analysis), in conjunction with the safety and accident prevention representative of the company.
Participates in the development of the annual prevention plan with our Clients and retransmits to the company. staff and suppliers /subcontractors involved in the execution of the contract.
Oversees the safety orientation (site induction) of new employees (company employees, temporary workers, subcontractors).
Prepares the exposure records of personnel for the monitoring by the occupational health professionals.
Monitors the activity and works on improving the working conditions of staff.
Conducts weekly safety talks and safety meetings.
Monitors the environmental requirements.
Requirements:
Professional Engineering Degree with education and production maintenance experience. Strong aircraft /automobile production environment skills and knowledge is a must to shorten the learning curve.
5-10 years of quality engineering /quality management in an ISO 9001 environment.
Professional schooling which includes proper documentation of the related duties and proven ability to conform to the criticality of the aircraft industry as prescribed by this job description.
Quality Management Institute (QMI) training would be an asset.
Computer literate in Microsoft Windows and Office.
Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
