The Role
The QA/QC Supervisor plays a crucial role in implementing site quality assurance and control systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards to deliver high-quality products. This role directly supports the achievement of PFA business goals by maintaining rigorous quality standards on site.
The successful candidate will have a strong QA / QC background in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the electrical, construction or resource industries.
The QA / QC Supervisor’s Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include
Assist in conducting good practice training, in-process inspections, identifying defects, in-house testing, and quality assessments.
Maintain and control QA/QC practices with regular checks and inspections to ensure proper procedures.
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to site commissioning personnel for safe and timely product testing.
Supervise personnel to ensure work meets quality standards and client specifications.
Monitor daily work and HSE field reports via Myosh.
Prepare and review work methodologies.
Assist in creating Instrumentation Work Packs/Test Packs.
Manage, record, and report on KPI compliance.
Manage customer inquiries and maintain strong relationships.
Provide technical advice to field resources.
Lead investigations into non-conformances and develop corrective actions.
Mentor and train new starters and returning employees.
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
Qualifications in Building and Construction, Engineering, or related field.
Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant industry role, preferably in electrical distribution/transmission.
Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
Valid Driver’s License.
Current National Police Clearance.
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.
Excellent knowledge of AS3000 and relevant Australian standards.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
High-level communication and active listening skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills.
Willingness to travel to depots or worksites.
Knowledge of SWER and NSWER Testing requirements.
