RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect raw materials as necessary.
Verify raw material CoAs are received and test results conform to specifications.
Test internally made batches according to product-specific specifications.
Make minor adjustments to correct out-of-specification batches and coordinate with QC Manager or Chemists on larger adjustments.
Manage storage and disposition of product and retain samples generated in the facility.
Collaborate with R&D chemists on new product development and raw material considerations.
Maintain a clean, orderly lab utilizing 5S principles.
Conduct Internal and Process Audits as needed.
Develop a detailed understanding of the facility’s manufacturing environment.
Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
Skills and
Competencies:
Previous quality control testing or lab experience preferred.
Experience in chemical or adhesive manufacturing preferred.
Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays (typically 6am – 11am, occasionally 6am – 2:30pm).
Understanding of basic mathematical operations.
Ability to follow documented procedures and work instructions.
Ability to perform multiple tests simultaneously and meet internal standards.
Effective communication skills via email, text, and in-person.
Ability to enter inspection data into a database.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light loads (up to 10 lbs).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
