QA/QC Technician/Inspector – Civil & Tower Construction | Immediate Hiring Jobs in Boston, MA at Intermediano Inc
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Technician to support a civil and tower construction project in Boston, MA.
This is a hands-on, field-based position responsible for monitoring subcontractors and in-house crews, performing quality inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, procedures, and project specifications, and supporting project closeout activities.
The QA/QC Technician will also communicate directly with the customer in English regarding project progress, site activities, quality issues, and questions.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily QA/QC inspections on active civil and tower construction sites.
- Monitor subcontractors and in-house crews to ensure work follows project specifications, codes, procedures, and quality standards.
- Inspect civil construction activities, including excavation, grading, foundations, concrete, rebar, and related site work.
- Inspect tower construction activities, including tower structures, structural components, mounts, and modifications.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation to verify field work.
- Identify construction deficiencies, quality issues, and deviations from approved plans and procedures.
- Document inspection findings and communicate required corrective actions.
- Follow up on quality issues through resolution.
- Maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, and project documentation.
- Support project closeout and maintain closeout documentation.
- Monitor and report project progress to the customer.
- Communicate directly with the customer in English and answer questions regarding project progress and site activities.
- Work closely with project management, subcontractors, and field crews to address quality issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in QA/QC within civil construction, tower construction, telecommunications infrastructure, or a related construction environment.
- Hands-on experience with field inspections and construction quality control.
- Working knowledge of civil construction, including excavation, grading, foundations, concrete, rebar, and site work.
- Working knowledge of tower construction and structural components.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
- Understanding of construction codes, procedures, and quality control requirements.
- Ability to identify construction deficiencies and verify compliance with plans and specifications.
- Experience monitoring subcontractors and construction crews.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and closeout skills.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable communicating directly with customers and providing project updates.
- Ability to work independently in an active construction site environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, on-site in Boston, MA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telecommunications tower or wireless infrastructure projects.
- Experience with tower site construction, structural steel, foundations, or tower modifications.
- Experience preparing or reviewing construction closeout packages.
- Relevant QA/QC, construction, or industry certifications.
Contract Details
- Initial contract: 6 months
- Extension: Potential extension through the following year, based on project needs and performance
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Location: Boston, MA

About the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a field-oriented QA/QC professional with hands-on civil and tower construction experience who can inspect work, monitor subcontractors and field crews, interpret drawings and specifications, identify quality issues, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate professionally with an English-speaking customer.
