Description:
Pay Range: $18 – $22/hr
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Summary: Coordinates activities of workers engaged in inspecting and evaluating customer parts. Maintains all ISO and CQI-9 requirements. Coordinates the training of floor personnel in all topics which can affect the quality of customer parts. Works closely with Plant Manager to facilitate delivery of acceptable product. Acts as the Quality Representative for the purpose of conducting external audits, including but not limited to re-certification events, customer driven CQI-9 audits, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledgeable about Plant functions in an effort to meet and surpass all 9001 Auditing objectives.
Be capable of using excel.
Inspects returned and rejected material for defects such as improper hardness/case depth, cracks, cleanliness, etc.
Performs microstructure, hardness and case inspections on proper parts, while understanding all areas of heat treating aluminum and steel.
Coordinates efforts to find the cause of all returns and rejects and comes up with preventive measures
Maintains all log sheets, prints, problem analysis, and any related quality documents in an organized retrievable manner
Performs and maintains dock audits and inspection audits.
Interprets company policies to works and enforces safety regulations
Contact customer (phone and in person) to resolve problems
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
