Overview:
LATA is currently searching for a Laboratory Quality Assurance Lead for the WIPP Labs team at the WIPP project in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This is a government contract to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) supporting the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).
Responsibilities:
The Laboratory Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for ensuring that the clients are provided with a legally defensible product of documented quality. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and review of the QA Program for effectiveness and currency of content. The candidate will work in collaboration with/and report to the Laboratory Manager. This position will require a strong commitment to mastering the responsibilities and tasks listed below. Good communication skills are required due to interaction with multiple WIPP Site departments, DOE, and CBFO representatives. Other duties as assigned to assist the Manager of WIPP labs.
Qualifications:
BS Degree with 5 years of experience in science related discipline
2+ years of experience in radiochemistry/radio bioassay measurements, familiarity with radioanalytical data.
2 years’ experience performing laboratory Validation & Verification.
Current-NQA-1 Lead Auditor Certification
The ability to perform laboratory audits, assessments and surveillances.
Experience writing Statements of Work, technical procedures and corrective action reports.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel and Word
Attention to detail, initiative and the ability to multitask are essential.
Possess excellent writing, verbal communication, and team skills.
Pay Range: USD $87,735.90 – USD $157,870.50 /Yr.
