QUALITEL PROFILE:

Qualitel is an Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider that specializes in high-end, high-reliability product applications. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and implement ICT/Flying Probe and Functional Test from prototype to production for Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs). Support test department in troubleshooting of CCAs and test platforms. This includes product development, implementation and maintenance. Need to understand CCA design and reading schematic. Need to write Test Plans and provide testability analysis. Need to write programs and test boards on both the flying probe and ICT test platforms including boundary scan test stations. Ability to analyze faults, review and improve test software to reflect additional test coverage. Need to translate CAD packages into a suitable format for ICT, flying probe and/or boundary scan.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Designing functional and ICT test fixtures
Writing software and setting up flying probe test. (Flying Probe Maintenance and calibration)
CAD translation for ICT/Flying Probe
Assisting in testability reviews of new CCA designs for smooth transition into production.
Assisting in the establishment of test requirements and procedures.
Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications.
Assuring the technical adequacy of test documentation
Assessing test requirement needs, analyzing test equipment re-use and making decisions related to choice of test equipment platform.
Developing test flow charts and performing test capacity analysis.
Participating in approving the validation of new or modified test equipment.
Providing leadership of support personnel for hourly test personnel on the factory floor.
Assisting and directing hourly personnel in the test & troubleshoot of production hardware.
Initiating and/or coordinating the processing of Engineering Change requests and test software changes to improve factory flow and product quality.
Writing and updating test plans and test documentation.
Collecting, reviewing and presenting test failure data.
Ensuring hardware meets technical requirements and processes are being followed.
Troubleshoot CCAs and test fixtures.
Work with customer and internal team to provide complementary test/inspection strategy between AOI, ICT/Flying Probe, and functional test exposing coverage holes & overlapping test/inspections.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or certification program requiring two years to complete preferred, or 1-3 years related experience and/or training. Working knowledge of Electronic Theory and component level [digital and analog] troubleshooting practices required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

BENEFITS:

Salary range: $80,000-$100,000 (DOE)
Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
