Position: QA Tech I
2nd Shift Entry Level Quality Technician
Schedule: 4 – 10-hour shifts – Thursday – Sunday 2:30 pm – 12:30 am or Saturday – Tuesday 2:30 pm – 12:30 am
Salary: $16.00 to start, $17.25 after QA Tech II training completed (generally it takes 60 – 90 days to complete)
Position Summary
Quality Technicians are responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of products produced from the receiving to shipping. They are responsible for monitoring Good Manufacturing Practices & facility temperatures, performing process checks & facility inspections, and embodying DNO’s stringent food safety & quality standards.
Essential Position Functions
Product weight checks
Environmental temperature monitoring
Sanitizer station testing
Effective communication – written and verbal
Metal detector operational testing
Package integrity monitoring
Pre-shift inspections
Oversees GMP compliance
Other related tasks as assigned
Tech I’s are expected to begin training into a Tech II role at or before 90 days of employment
Education
/Certification
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Knowledge
Quality Technician – Tech I training will be provided in-house upon hire
Skills/Abilities
Smart Phone/Tablet Competency
Ability to work within a multi-department team
Able to work evenings and weekends
Standing/walking for the duration of the shift minus breaks
Typical reaching, lifting, & bending
Proficient in reading and writing English
Bi-lingual a plus
Working Conditions
Variable inside temperatures, including extreme cold (temperatures at about 32 degrees).
