Location: Eagle Grove
Job Responsibilities
Ensure overall quality and food safety of products and materials at various stages of the production process. Analyze and test products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
Continuously inspect products, plant, employees, and equipment on the manufacturing floor to ensure quality and food safety standards are met.
Sample finished products to assure compliance with customer specifications.
Conduct metal detector checks, blade inspections, etc., and report discrepancies and violations along with solutions to the Quality Assurance Supervisor immediately.
Complete required documentation (quality, food safety, and test forms) honestly and accurately.
Collaborate with other departments to implement procedure changes involving raw materials/finished goods to remedy non-compliance issues promptly.
Conduct pre-operational and operational sanitation inspections.
Regularly complete Quality and Food Safety, CCP, and sanitation paperwork to ensure no deviations occur.
Participate in GMP and Sanitation audits with documented corrective actions and follow-up as necessary.
Maintain KPIs and scorecards to drive continuous improvement.
Promote and uphold a strong commitment to safety in the operating process.
Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED or equivalent knowledge.
Competency in reading and writing English is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly; analyze information effectively; develop solutions; work well in team problem-solving situations; use reason even with emotional topics.
Ability to read and understand instructions, memos, and correspondence; write simple reports; present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions; handle problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Willingness to learn and perform roles such as cut floor QA, Harvest QA, and FSQA Auditor.
Physical Demands
Regularly stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear. Frequently reach with hands and arms. Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold and heat, and loud noise levels. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for disabilities.
