QA Tech VBC – (DS) (Finance)
Purpose of the Position: Tests and conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished products, using various testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality.
Essential
Position Responsibilities:
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production and evaluates statistical data to ensure quality and reliability.
Performs analytical tests on samples, using instrumentation and equipment, and performs calculations to measure factors.
Verifies product factors through testing and records results to maintain quality records.
Collects, measures, and weighs samples of materials.
Assists in implementing and training others on total quality management programs.
Participates as a team member, contributing to communication, development, and implementation of team policies and practices.
Supports Simmons’ operating systems principles, including quality, security, and LEAN practices, understanding the impact of individual actions.
Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
Physical Activities & Safety:
Standing for entire shift, bending, using both hands, walking, lifting up to 55 lbs., tolerating temperatures above 100°F or below 32°F, working in wet and cold environments, and using PPE such as hair nets, hearing protection, gloves, aprons, and mesh gloves as required.

Not applicable.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Must pass the company’s Quality Assurance test.
