About The Role
The Technical Analyst at Diamond Game plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our gaming products. Reporting to the QA Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with engineering and product management teams to perform comprehensive testing and quality assurance activities on our Lottery and Slot Gaming products. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple testing assignments, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing technical support when needed. The Technical Analyst will be responsible for executing various testing methodologies, including exploratory, functional, system, reliability, and regression testing, to ensure our products meet high standards of quality from both business and functional perspectives. Additionally, the role involves installing and troubleshooting hardware and software, writing detailed test cases and defect reports, and supporting on-site and remote technical support, including travel to various locations in the US and Canada.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or equivalent professional experience. Candidates should have at least two years of QA testing experience within a client-server environment, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. Experience working with MS SQL databases, including writing read/write queries, is essential. Familiarity with MS Office suite, Content Management Systems, gaming technology, and MS Server 2005 and 2008 is highly desirable. Prior experience in customer service within a professional setting is advantageous, especially if related to the gaming or technology sectors. Experience with Lottery and Slot gaming products will be considered a significant plus, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific requirements and standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform exploratory, functional, system, reliability, and regression testing on all products as directed by the QA Manager.
- Execute hardware and software test scripts across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency and thoroughness.
- Develop detailed and comprehensive test cases based on product requirements documentation.
- Write clear, concise defect reports to facilitate prompt resolution by development teams.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems, MS SQL Server (2005 and 2008), and related software environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, hardware, infrastructure, and network components.
- Learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and software applications relevant to the gaming industry.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support, including traveling to UAT locations, certification labs, and other sites across the US and Canada, approximately 25% of the time.
- Assist with other testing and technical tasks as assigned by management to support product quality and operational efficiency.
