Job Overview
A QC inspector should have all the capabilities to visually examine, assess, and dimensionally measure all associated parts to ensure compliance with all specified requirements. Additionally, a QC inspector should have demonstrated capabilities in understand drawings and plan inspections, in setting up inspection, including preparation and setup of related equipment, as appropriate.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment that is very hot and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. PPE includes hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, flame retardant working cloths, gloves and steel toed boots. This job is physically demanding.
Duties and Responsibilities

For this position, day-to-day responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

Receiving inspection-raw materials are received and inspected for marking or defects; the results are documented
Material, visual, marking, & process verification-material is confirmed and tested for hardness, depth, or flaw testing throughout heat treat process
Positive Material Identification
Knowledgeable and able to use of tool such as calipers to make measurements and cuts for testing etc.
Document verification
Assist testing process
Assist Final Inspector
Other duties as specified by lead and/or Supervisor
Requirements & Qualifications
Must be 18 and available to work in this country with all applicable documents
Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
Proficient with basic computer programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and outlook
One year of satisfactory performance as a QC Inspector in a manufacturing facility; or
High school graduation plus 3 years of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities; or
Completion of college level work leading to an associate degree in a related discipline plus 1 year of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities; or
Graduation from a 4-year college plus 6 months of related experience in equivalent inspection.
Knowledge on Positive Material Identification
Adequately trained and qualified to perform quality control related activities
Forklift operator experience (preferred)
Integrity/honesty above all; must be willing to learn
