This position verifies pre-opt and processing lines and conducts hourly checks throughout the company’s production, packaging, sanitation, and production warehouse. Provide insight during processing, verify compliance with company standards and policies, effectively communicate when deviations from standards or methods exist, and finish product quality and food safety activities.
Job responsibilities but not limited to:
Performs daily production hourly line checks to ensure finished product quality and integrity. These include pasteurizer checks, metal detector / X- ray calibration, weight checks, seal integrity, and daily line audits are performed.
Monitoring all production processes for quality/ food safety with the ability to understand.
Knowledge of basic HACCP of Critical Control Points (CCPs), SOP, and Quality Standards.
Conducts pre-opt inspections, including swabbing ATP and APC, etc.
Knowledge of ingredients, processes, and finished product disposition.
Reporting results to management and alerting of production issues or and quality/food safety deviations to all departments
Adhere to and always model good manufacturing practices (GMP), including enforcement on the production floor.
Skills/Qualifications:
HS Diploma or the equivalent of at least one year as a QA or QC technician in food or ingredients manufacturing.
English is required, and bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Basic writing /math skills include calculation of percent and multiplication.
Good communication skills, detail-oriented, responsible, reliable, attention to timelines, ability to lift 40 pounds, and excellent personal hygiene
Must be a team player and willing to learn new tasks.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed with reasonable notice.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
Detail-oriented, excellent recordkeeping and documentation skills.
