Position Overview
Crawford Composites is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant QC/Inventory Control to support our quality assurance and inventory management functions. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in manufacturing quality and supply chain operations within a composites environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in incoming, in-process, and final inspection of composite parts and raw materials per established quality standards
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in the quality management system
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
- Support receiving inspections to verify material certifications, quantities, and condition
- Assist with the organization and labeling of materials in the warehouse and production areas
- Help maintain calibration logs and controlled document records
- Support preparation for customer and third-party audits
- Communicate quality findings to production supervisors in a timely manner
- Perform other QC and inventory-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or quality environment
- Basic understanding of quality control concepts and inspection techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with an ERP or inventory management system is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment. Standing, walking, bending, and lifting are routine.
