Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Control Associate / Assistant Production Manager. This hybrid role is pivotal in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards while supporting efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control:
Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
Identify and report quality issues, collaborating with teams to implement corrective actions.
Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures and standards.
Participate in internal audits and support external audit preparations.
Inspect fiberglass, fabrics, and other materials for quality and consistency
Troubleshoot and resolve product issues on the production floor and at job sites
Verify crate integrity and ensure all shipments meet company standards
Work closely with Project Managers to address and resolve customer quality concerns
Production Management Support:
Collaborate with the Production Manager to plan and schedule manufacturing activities.
Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to timelines.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address production challenges and implement improvements.
Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and operational procedures.
Assist in inventory management and procurement of materials.
Purchase shop supplies and specialty materials needed for production
Help manage and track inventory levels to ensure consistent stock availability
Support daily production operations and assist with scheduling or logistics as needed
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control and/or production management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and production processes.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using quality inspection tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Working Conditions
Position requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
