We are a growing manufacturer of high-reliability electronic assemblies serving customers in demanding industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to help ensure our products meet the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Position Summary

The QA Technician is responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies, verifying compliance with customer specifications and industry standards, documenting inspection results, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electronic assemblies.
  • Inspect wire harnesses, transformers, coils, and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Verify workmanship to IPC standards, including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
  • Review manufacturing documentation, travelers, drawings, bills of materials, and customer specifications.
  • Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and microscopes, multimeters and other electrical equipment.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify, document, and assist in resolving nonconforming products.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production teams to improve product quality and support root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience in an ISO9000 or AS9000D electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification.
  • J-STD-001 certification.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Experience with ERP or manufacturing software.

Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour
