About the Role-
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive quality assurance across a complex, multi-vendor CDR (Consumer Data Right) programme. You will act as both test manager and hands-on coordinator, owning end-to-end test strategy across data, API, functional, and automation workstreams. This is a high-visibility role operating at the intersection of regulatory compliance, data platform modernisation, and vendor integration.
Key Responsibilities
Test Management & Coordination
• Lead and coordinate testing activities across multiple vendors and internal teams
• Develop and maintain the overall test strategy, plan, and schedule
• Track defects, manage risk, and report test progress to senior stakeholders
• Facilitate test planning ceremonies, defect triage, and sign-off processes
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality assurance across the programme
Data Testing
• Design and execute validation for the new Operational Data Store (ODS)
• Verify data integrity and completeness across integrated source systems (CRM, MPED, etc.)
• Validate data transformation and loading pipelines into Snowflake
• Ensure CDR vendor data consumption aligns with ODS output specifications
API Testing
• Validate CDR-compliant APIs against regulatory standards and data holder obligations
• Design API test suites covering functional, negative, boundary, and security scenarios
• Coordinate API testing with CDR vendors and third-party data recipients
Functional & Regression Testing
• Lead functional testing across CDR consumer experience and consent management flows
• Oversee end-to-end regression cycles in collaboration with vendor QA teams
• Validate compliance with ACCC/DSB CDR standards and Rules
Automation
• Guide and review automation efforts using Playwright (UI) and API automation frameworks.
• There will be a separate Automation Engineer who will join later under the lead along with a manual/squad tester
Skills & Experience
Essential
• 5+ years in a QA/Test Lead or Test Manager role on complex, enterprise programmes
• Proven experience leading multi-vendor testing engagements
• Strong expertise in data testing — data validation, reconciliation, pipeline testing
• Hands-on API testing experience (REST, JSON, OAuth 2.0 / FAPI)
• Experience with automation frameworks — Playwright and/or API automation tools. T
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to produce clear, concise test documentation (strategies, plans, reports)
Highly Desirable
• CDR / Open Banking implementation experience (data holder or recipient side)
• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
• Familiarity with data integration patterns (ETL/ELT, CDC, API-based ingestion)
• Understanding of CRM and MPED data structures
• Experience in regulated financial services or banking environments
Practical Fallback Profile
Candidates without direct CDR experience will be considered where they demonstrate:
• Strong data and QA testing capability with financial services domain exposure
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn regulatory or standards-driven frameworks
• Solid understanding of data platform validation and integration testing
