How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Omaha – Non-Wovens team, located in Hildebran, NC. As a Quality Control Associate you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for performing statistical process control on the assigned line as directed by supervisor. Ensures all product on the designated line meets or exceeds quality standards for product manufactured. Reports quality issues with product to the appropriate team member and works with the team to trouble shoot and resolve issues. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Supports the development and training of team members to ensure standardization and consistency of approach for manufacturing processes.
Essential Duties:
Performs statistical process control on assigned manufacturing line. Works with quality team to identify and correct quality issues at the time of production, including containing nonconforming product, completing root cause analysis and implementing preventative action.
Works with quality team and production team to assist with creation and implementation of corrective action, issuance of quality alerts, and completion of product validation when nonconforming product is identified.
Supports and conducts quality and standard of work training for team members as assigned.
Visually inspects product to quality assurance requirements as outlined in quality procedures.
Ensures all quality documents are audited quarterly.
Participates in yearly evaluations of IATF inspections and process reviews.
Works with manufacturing leaders to ensure quality checks are performed on assigned manufacturing lines.
In collaboration with quality leadership to ensure quality documentation is accurate and up to date.
Reviews daily quality documentation to ensure accuracy.
Reports quality deviations to appropriate leadership as it is identified.
Utilizes business unit’s system of record to enter quality assurance inspections, jobs, and quality issues.
Reports potential problems to the production team as required.
Provides focus on performance improvements that yield zero accidents, defect free products, and on time delivery; strives and focuses on elimination of waste and improved customer satisfaction.
Follows all safety requirements and standards.
Maintains attendance company standards.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Abilities Required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
One-year related experience and/or training in statistical control process.
Previous experience conducting quality audits in a manufacturing setting.
Capability to utilize problem solving skills.
Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/activities/goals.
Must be able to work well with others, build partnerships and support team members.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and tactful in dealing with people at all levels.
Must be self-motivated and positive.
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
Display highest ethical standards.
Maintain the utmost level of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.
Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills with the ability to operate Microsoft Office products.

Ability to add, subtract and multiply two-digit numbers to determine proper pallet counts and to understand the production schedule.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Ability to write routine reports and present information effectively in one-on-one or small group situations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The employee is frequently required to walk up raised platform steps. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The temperature level in the work environment is hot / humid during the late spring, summer, and the early fall seasons.
