Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA Tester with at least 3 years of hands-on software testing experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating application functionality, identifying defects, ensuring product quality, and supporting the successful delivery of software releases. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, experience working in Agile environments, and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to understand application functionality.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing prior to production releases.
- Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress and quality metrics.
- Participate in requirement review sessions to ensure requirements are testable and complete.
- Support release validation activities and production verification.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing best practices.
Required Technical Skills
- Minimum 3 years of software testing experience.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and UAT Testing.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, qTest, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Ability to create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and execution reports.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to test automation tools is an added advantage.
- Basic SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger is preferred.
- Understanding of CI/CD testing practices is desirable
