WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester/Analyst to join our game development team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for testing game builds, identifying bugs, and providing insightful feedback to ensure an outstanding gameplay experience. Key responsibilities include:

Write detailed test plan and cases for game builds

Execute detailed test plans and cases for game builds

Identify, log, and track bugs using bug tracking software

Perform functionality, usability, and regression testing

Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and improve game quality

Verify bug fixes and perform retesting as needed

Provide feedback on user experience and overall gameplay

Ensure builds meet internal quality standards during development cycles

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

1+ years of experience in QA testing, ideally in game development

Familiarity with game development cycles and processes

Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Mantis

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills

Knowledge of multiple gaming platforms, particularly console-based testing

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with teams

YOU SET YOURSELF ABOVE WITH:

Experience with automated testing tools

Familiarity with game engines and scripting languages (e.g., Unity, Unreal)

Knowledge of performance and load testing

This is a contract position, requiring 5 days per week at our Vancouver studio.

The hiring range for this position is $20 – $27 CAD per hour, depending on experience annually and is subject to change. The final base salary compensation will be based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
