Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing outsources projects and ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest quality standards and adhere to industry regulations. This role requires experience in project management and supplier quality assurance in the millwork or construction industry.
Responsibilities
Project Management – Oversee outsourced projects, ensuring products are delivered on time and to quality standards.
Quality Assurance – Establish reliable receiving inspection processes, direct the inspection of incoming products and materials, address quality problems by working with suppliers on corrective actions.
Supplier Management – Implement methods to monitor supplier performance and conduct audits to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
Documentation – Keep accurate records of supplier performance and quality issues, prepare reports for management.
Process improvement – Identify ways to improve product quality and efficiency in the supply chain, support the team in improving quality processes.
Expected travel up to 25%.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of quality control principles and quality management systems
Ability to read and understand blueprints and product drawings.
Proficient with ERP systems, product design software, and Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Strong communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams
Experience
Required: 3+ years of experience in supplier quality management in the millwork, construction, or manufacturing industries.
Preferred: Experience managing outsourced projects, process implementation, and knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques.
Work Environment:
Large-scale graphics and architectural millwork production facility – mild exposure to sawdust, cleaning materials, and shop machinery noise.
