Title: QA/UAT Engineer

Company: Jobgether

Location: United States

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA/UAT Engineer based in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product quality, and real-world user experience, ensuring that complex communication APIs and customer-facing products perform reliably at scale. You will work across API-driven systems, browser-based applications, and backend services to validate functionality, performance, and usability before releases reach customers. The environment is highly collaborative and modern, with a strong emphasis on automation, CI/CD, and AI-assisted quality engineering. You’ll play a key role in shaping how quality is embedded across the development lifecycle rather than treated as a final checkpoint. This is an opportunity to blend hands-on testing, automation engineering, and exploratory validation in a fast-moving, cloud-native product organization. You’ll also contribute to evolving a more AI-native approach to QA, improving speed and confidence in every release.

Accountabilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites covering APIs, microservices, integrations, and end-to-end user workflows across web and backend systems.
  • Validate REST and gRPC services supporting core communication features such as email, calendar, contacts, and scheduling.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and exploratory testing to identify edge cases, usability issues, and real-world workflow gaps.
  • Develop and maintain browser automation tests for customer-facing applications using modern testing frameworks.
  • Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation and fast feedback on code changes.
  • Investigate defects, reproduce issues, identify root causes, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to drive resolution.
  • Participate in release readiness and production validation to ensure stability and reliability of new features.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance test generation, defect discovery, debugging, and overall quality engineering efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, frontend, platform, and product teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the evolution of quality engineering practices, tooling, and strategy within an AI-augmented engineering environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in QA, SDET, quality engineering, or software testing roles with strong automation focus.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks across APIs, services, or web applications.
  • Working knowledge of Go or ability to read and understand backend service code and debug issues effectively.
  • Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, microservices, or distributed systems at scale.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools and protocols such as REST, gRPC, Postman, grpcurl, or similar.
  • Experience with browser automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development environments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of QA principles including test strategy, risk-based testing, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools is highly valued.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with strong attention to detail.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary aligned with experience and location (US and Canada ranges provided)
  • Remote-first flexibility across North America
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale API infrastructure powering modern communication systems
  • Strong emphasis on automation, AI-assisted engineering, and modern QA practices
  • Career growth opportunities in a fast-scaling technical product environment
  • Collaborative, engineering-driven culture with high ownership and impact
  • Paid time off and standard employee benefits package.
