Job Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring that all Electrical and Instrumentation works comply with Aramco standards, project specifications, and international codes. The inspector shall carry out inspection activities, monitor construction and installation processes, and verify testing and documentation for quality compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of Electrical and Instrumentation systems including conduit installation, cable pulling, cable termination, grounding, lighting systems, switchgear, MCCs, junction boxes, and field instruments.
Review and verify inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, and material approvals.
Witness and verify tests such as insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, loop checks, function tests, and calibration of field instruments.
Inspect installation of control panels, PLCs, DCS systems, marshalling cabinets, and process instrumentation.
Ensure proper documentation of inspections including checklists, punch lists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Coordinate with construction teams, client representatives (including Aramco PMT), and third-party inspectors as required.
Review red-line drawings, As-Built drawings, and ensure alignment with project specifications.
Report daily progress and inspection findings to the QA/QC Manager.
Ensure adherence to Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), SATIPs, SAMSS, and related procedures.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Saudi Aramco Approval as a QC E&I Inspector (SAP Number preferred).
CBT (Computer-Based Test) passed as per Saudi Aramco requirements.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, with at least 2 years in a QC inspection role.
Familiarity with international standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, ISA, etc.).
Proficient in reading engineering drawings and technical documents.
Strong communication and reporting skills in English.
