Volt is immediately hiring a QC Inspector in Reno NV

Responsibilities include:

Maintaining a safe working environment for team members and equipment.

Performing quality checks and inspections according to standard work procedures.

Achieving and maintaining competency on all gauges and quality checks.

Conducting visual inspections of work in process and finished products at each manufacturing stage and/or production equipment.

Reviewing inspection results using control charts and other SPC tools.

Reacting to quality check results based on company guidelines.

Ensuring all quality checks are completed and documented correctly as per requirements.

Sampling, re-inspecting, and reworking off-quality products as necessary.

Preparing, storing, and replenishing quality test ends for cameras and testers.

Performing test studies and special measurements as required.

Attaining and maintaining good working knowledge of SPC, control charts, ITMs, quality policies, and plant instructions related to quality.

Ensuring all HFI on their shift is properly documented and providing guidance to Team Leaders or Supervisors with HFI.

Completing daily housekeeping tasks and following 5S standards.

Assisting zone mechanics and Team Leaders during line downtimes.

Providing quality guidance to Team Leaders and Supervisors on off-shifts and weekends.

Performing duties as directed by the Quality Manager, Lead, or Technician.

Replenishing supplies of test solutions, cross-section materials, and other quality consumables.

Following directions during emergency situations and critical operational issues.

Completing basic certification in zones 1, 2, and 3 within one year.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Shift: 2nd Shift 10:00 PM- 6:30 AM or 6:00 PM- 2:30 AM. Overtime or holiday work may be required.

Exceptional communication, training, and facilitation skills.

Ability to coach, train, mentor, and facilitate tasks.

Strong people skills, high energy, and a positive attitude.

Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices.

Preferred experience with self-directed work teams.

Strong quality and technical background.

Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.

Ability to motivate and maintain a safe, cohesive work environment.

This is a temporary contract role with a pay rate of $23.00-$24.00/hr, based on various factors.
