eMetric is a San Antonio based technology platforms provider for K-12 education. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer in Test to work on our online assessment and reporting platforms. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, approachable team player.
Responsibilities
Create comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality and functionality
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency
Build, maintain, and execute automated end-to-end tests for APIs and Web UI
Perform manual and automated testing to identify and document software defects
Work closely with software developers to understand product requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality
Review and analyze test results to identify trends and areas for improvement
Set up and manage test environments to ensure accurate and reliable testing
Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, and work with development teams to resolve issues
Ensure that software meets industry standards and regulatory requirements
Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices to continuously improve testing processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, other technical degree or equivalent experience
Background check required
This is a Hybrid position in San Antonio, TX. Team members are required to be in-office at least once per week.

Experience with using Selenium, Playwright, and/or Puppeteer for UI automation testing
Experience with using Postman or similar tools for API automation testing
Experience with JavaScript, C#, HTML and Shell Scripting
Experience with REST APIs
Experience with Git as a version control system
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with querying SQL databases
Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplined team with a broad understanding of Agile development practices
Experience with testing methodologies such as TDD, BDD, and/or ATDD
Knowledge of web accessibility and methods for testing
Knowledge of XML and JSON as data exchange formats
