Overview
The QAPI Coordinator is responsible for the overall development and implementation of the QAPI program. He/she reviews hospice medical records to assess the quality of clinical services and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures and applicable standards. The coordinator also makes recommendations for changes in policies, procedures, and systems and for staff education.
Responsibilities
Works with the Administrator to provide an ongoing, comprehensive assessment of the quality of care and services.
Coordinate the implementation of the program’s Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Plan to assess the quality and appropriateness of patient care.
Coordinate all QAPI audits and studies as indicated in the plan.
Develops and implements problem-focused audits.
Identifies patterns and trends and reports them to the administrator and QAPI committee.
Conducted quarterly QAPI meetings, reported findings, and coordinated action plan development.
