Client Overview
Our client is a very successful consumer goods developer and manufacturer with a great reputation for providing high-quality products to the global market. They are currently looking to add a QC Lab Technician to their team. This location is a production facility that also has a Quality Control lab. It is a fast-paced environment with a high focus on quality and teamwork.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$23/hr – $26/hr
Position Overview
The QC Lab Technician will be a proactive individual who is familiar with a GMP/GLP environment. They will have a mindset for safety, teamwork, and productivity. The QC Lab Technician will be using wet and instrumental methods to test the quality of samples from the production floor. The QC Lab Technician will need to work 1 Saturday a month and will be eligible for overtime as there will be some extra hours needed on weekday afternoons from time to time.
Normal working hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities Of The QC Lab Technician
The QC Lab Technician will be supporting a team to evaluate the quality of the samples from the production floor.
Wet chemistry work will include pH, refractive index, melting point, flashpoint, and specific gravity tests.
Instrumental testing will include Gas Chromatography, Mass Spec, IR, and ICP.
All data from the quality test will be carefully recorded in lab notebooks and the SAP system.
Other documentation may be needed as well as data review and analysis.
Lab housekeeping, inventory, and maintenance are also the responsibility of the QC Lab Technician.
Physical, visual, and sensory testing will also be needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the QC Lab Technician:
6 months- 2 years of experience working in a GMP/GLP lab.
Team-oriented mindset.
Strong attention to detail.
Appreciation for lab safety and cleanliness.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in the sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related) is required.
