We’re Hiring: Quality Control Specialist with Finish Carpentry Experience
Are you a meticulous professional with a keen eye for detail and a background in finish carpentry? We’re looking for a dedicated Quality Control Specialist to join our team and help ensure that every project meets our high standards of craftsmanship and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect finished work: Review and inspect all carpentry projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
Ensure all moldings, doors, trim, shelving, and other installations meet the required standards for quality, finish, and functionality.
Collaborate with the carpentry team to ensure that all jobs are completed according to the plans and with precision.
Troubleshoot and identify deficiencies or issues in the work and suggest corrective actions.
Preform quick fixes for small tasks you find issues with (ie: install missing doorstop, adjust a door, nail a quick piece of base, ect)
Maintain detailed records of inspections and report on any quality issues or improvements.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure all work is being completed in accordance with construction and safety regulations.
Provide feedback and training to carpenters and crew members on quality standards and techniques.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in finish carpentry (molding, trim work, door installations, crown molding, etc.) with a deep understanding of high-end finishes.
Proven experience in a Quality Control role in construction or carpentry.
Strong understanding of construction plans, blueprints, and the ability to spot deviations from the design.
Attention to detail: Able to spot small defects and imperfections that others may miss.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide actionable feedback to the team.
Excellent communication skills to liaise between carpenters, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with finish carpentry tools and techniques.
Solid understanding of quality control standards in the construction industry.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
Familiarity with construction safety standards.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep accurate records.
