QC Microbiologist (full-time, temporary) Jobs in Lewisville, TX at Lily of the Desert
Lily of the Desert Nutraceuticals, conveniently located in Lewisville, TX, has an immediate opening for a full-time Microbiologist in our Quality Control Department to fill a temporary vacancy. This temporary assignment is expected to last through year-end but may be longer. Reporting to our Laboratory Manager, our on-site QC Microbiologist is responsible for micro testing on bulk products, raw materials and finished product at our state-of-the-art production facility. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology or related field and will be familiar with Quality Control, Analytical Methods Development and Bioanalytical Chemistry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze samples of raw materials and finished product.
- Conduct investigations on out of spec results.
- Participate in collaborative studies serving as a team lead for projects.
- Assure accurate record keeping, reporting of data, and storage of information related to formulation efforts
- Provide all required documentation including reports, batch records, SOPs, etc.
- Maintain all equipment used in the micro testing of products and raw materials.
- Additional job duties as may be assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in Microbiology or related field
- 2-3 years’ experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, HACCP, GMPs
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and principals, preferably in food or OTC drug industry
