Job Purpose
Ensure food safety, product quality, and strict Halal compliance within our manufacturing
facility.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Assurance
- Inspect raw materials, packaging, and finished goods against quality standards.
- Monitor production lines daily to ensure adherence to GMP and HACCP principles.
- Conduct routine laboratory testing, including physical, chemical, and sensory
evaluations.
- Document and investigate product deviations, customer complaints, and non-
conformance issues.
- Maintain, calibrate, and clean laboratory equipment regularly.
Halal Compliance & Administration
- Maintain the company's Internal Halal Assurance System (HAS).
- Prepare and submit Halal application documents via the MYeHALAL system.
- Serve as the primary contact person for JAKIM auditors.
- Verify that all raw materials possess valid, recognized Halal certificates.
- Conduct internal Halal audits and coordinate Halal Committee meetings.
Production Support & Training
- Monitor worker hygiene, sanitation practices, and pest control compliance.
- Assist in training production staff on Halal, GMP, and food safety awareness.
- Update and organize quality records for audit readiness at all times.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or
equivalent.
- Experience: Fresh graduates or individuals with up to 1 year of experience in food
manufacturing.
- Certifications: Certified Halal Executive (JAKIM recognized) – good to have.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of MS 1500, GMP, HACCP, and food regulations.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, and proactive problem-
solving.
- Languages: Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).
