We are looking for a qualified QC/QA Supervisor for 2nd shift 3pm-11pm to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will be the one to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.
The QC/QA Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the QA and QC team, ensuring that all products and processes adhere to company and industry standards. This role involves leading a team of QC Lab Technicians and QA Line Auditors.
Supervise and provide leadership to lab techs and line auditors
Develop direct reports
Manage lab and line coverage – willing to work off shifts if needed
Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure compliance to regulatory, customer and company requirements
Reviews daily production schedule and adjusts the quality departments schedule to ensure testing and reporting are met
Maintain proper lab supply inventory levels
Review testing data/investigate out of spec results. Escalate out of spec data.
Assist in customer complaint investigations
Oversee quality programs and assist with implementation
Review and maintain COAs for incoming truck deliveries
Assist with continuous improvement projects
Assist in hiring and training employees
Ensure the Team follows GMPs and GDPs
Additional duties as assigned by manager
OT as needed
Requirements:
Knowledge of 5S Practices
Proficient in laboratory techniques, instrumentation and data analysis
Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations such as GMP and GLP. (ISO standards are a plus)
Must be able to climb stairs, sit and stand for long periods, and type for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Basic computer skills are a plus
Strong decision-making skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities
The ability to meet productivity goals and standards
Excellent customer service skills
Overtime/Weekends/Holidays will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
Required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
