QC Representative Jobs in Houston, Texas, USA at Seaboard Solutions
This position reports to the Director of Quality and is responsible for the inspection of value-added finished products to ensure the product meets all the customers’ specifications.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Inspect products to ensure that they meet company and customers’ quality standards.
Ensure products meet customer expectations on company objectives.
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
Complete nonconformance reports when product does not meet customers’ quality standards.
Complete quality reports to document compliance or errors of product inspected.
Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions.
Label parts as specified by customer and/or companies’ quality system.
Palletize and/or bundle finished products for shipment to customers.
Review shipments for quality and accuracy; review accompanying documents for accuracy.
Transport and/or load finished products (manually and/or using forklifts and overhead cranes).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must wear safety PPE, such as hard hat, glasses, steel toe boots, and gloves, when handling material.
SKILLS
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and understand company or customer drawings.
Ability to interact with people professionally, considerately, and pleasantly.
Extensive product and industry knowledge (carbon steel plate, burning, rolling, and beveling) preferred.
Proficient use of appropriate measuring tools.
Good math and technical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, 2 years of related experience preferred.
