Location: De Pere & Green Bay, WI. Up to 25% Travel

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Quality Engineer to drive quality improvements, process optimization, and new product development. This role will focus on executing quality-driven projects, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, implementing new processes, and ensuring product excellence to maximize customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead quality-driven projects focused on the integration of new technologies and systems.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
Develop and implement new quality processes to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product consistency.
Support supplier quality improvements through root cause analysis and continuous monitoring.
Utilize data-driven methods (Six Sigma, SPC, DOE) to analyze and resolve quality issues.
Serve as a change agent, challenging existing processes with data-backed recommendations.
Define and implement new quality systems and processes.
Develop and implement new test methods and conduct competitive products testing as needed
Create raw materials and product specifications and optimize process workflows as required.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in quality engineering, materials science, and process control.
Support supplier quality investigations and improvements.
Support new product development efforts by collaborating with R&D, production, and sales teams.
Other special projects and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of quality control standards, inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes.
Expertise in root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and corrective action implementation.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and SPC methodologies.
Problem Solving & Analytical Skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve quality issues.
Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives with a data-driven approach.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with ability to work well with operations / operators.
Communication & Leadership
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across departments.
Sense of urgency in responding to external and internal customer needs.
Adaptability & innovation
Passionate about continuous improvement and seeking innovative solutions.
Ability to challenge existing norms, processes and implement new quality strategies

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, quality management software and tools.
Preferred Skills:
Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment consisting of:
Converting
Nonwovens
Paper
Hot melt adhesives
Filtration media
Wipes
Sorbents
Polymer recycling.
Strong project management skills.
Creative and curious mindset.

Work Relationship and Scope:
The Quality Engineer will report directly to the Director of Quality – Chris Rommes and work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operation, R&D, Supply Chain, and Customer Service. This role involves handling confidential business and employee information while fostering strong relationships across the organization to drive quality and operational excellence.
Measures of Performance:
Success in this role will be measured by:
Customer (Internal & External) satisfaction and complaint resolution efficiency.
Reduction in process / product defects and non-conformances.
Implementation of process improvements that enhance product quality and cost savings.
Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
Adherence to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.

Reliability in reporting to work regularly and on time.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed within the normal FyterTech setting. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration required. Work hours are generally during normal business hours, as both scheduled and unscheduled work hours may arise. Must be able to bend, twist, turn and lift/move up to fifty pounds. Out-of-town/overnight business travel may be required. Serves as a representative of the organization at appropriate functions.
