MTNA Greenville Plant is searching for a 1st shift Quality Engineer. This Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring manufactured products meet the required quality standards and customer specifications, using established quality management systems. This role involves collaboration with cross functional teams including design, engineering, and production to identify and solve quality-related issues, conduct inspections, and analyze data to improve manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Control:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, tools, and procedures (e.g., Process flows, PQCT’s, etc.).
Participate in design reviews and internal quotation activities.
Conduct inspections at various stages of development to ensure compliance with product specifications.
Perform root cause analysis and problem-solving for non-conformities, defects, or customer complaints.

Process Improvement:

Identify improvement opportunities within the manufacturing process to enhance quality and efficiency.
Utilize quality tools to drive process improvements (e.g., Process flows, PQCT’s FMEA’s, etc.).
Work closely with engineering and production teams to refine and optimize production workflows.

Documentation and Reporting:

Document quality control procedures, inspection results, and corrective actions.
Prepare project reports providing key metrics, trends, and performance analysis to management.
Administer quality documents and maintain records of quality-related activities (e.g., audits, inspections, etc.)

Supplier Management and Customer Interaction:

Collaborate with suppliers to achieve project requirements and quality standards (e.g., Color development)
Respond to customer requests related to quality issues, project status, etc.

Other:

Performs other duties assigned as needed by management.
Occasional travel required to visit customer, affiliate plants, and suppliers (Approx. 20%).

Qualifications and Skills:
Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive industry.
Ability to comprehend 2D and 3D data and technical specifications.
Knowledge of specialty software preferred (e.g., Darwin, Catia, Aqua).

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies (Process Flows, PQCT’s FMEAS, etc.).
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
